Cuby (getcuby.com) is a free, independent web app for solving and learning the Rubik's Cube. It is built to keep your data on your device. This policy explains what that means in plain terms.
What we store — and where
- On your device only. Your solve history, timer stats, course progress, and theme preference are saved in your browser's local storage. This never leaves your device and we cannot see it. Clearing your browser data removes it completely.
- Camera scanning. If you use the camera to scan your cube, the video and images are processed entirely in your browser to read the sticker colors. No images or video are ever uploaded, transmitted, or stored.
- No account. Cuby doesn't require signing up and does not collect your name, email, or other personal details.
Analytics
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand aggregate usage (such as page views and referrers). It is privacy-first: it does not use cookies and does not collect personal or cross-site identifying information.
Payments (tips)
If you choose to leave a tip, the payment is processed by our payment provider, Creem, acting as merchant of record. Creem collects the information needed to process your payment under its own privacy policy. Cuby never sees or stores your card details.
Affiliate links
Some links to recommended cube gear are affiliate links. If you click one and make a purchase, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. Those third-party sites (such as Amazon) set their own cookies and are governed by their own privacy policies.
Cookies
Cuby itself does not set advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
Children
Cuby is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from them. Because we collect no personal data directly, there is nothing to delete on request beyond the local data you can clear yourself.
